However, I find the interface clumsy and difficult to navigate. And for reading on a tablet, oriented vertically, it is next to useless. In reality, the NYT on newsstand was better in its previous incarnation, a few years ago. The best thing about a newsstand subscription to the NYT is that you are eligible for free access to the Times Reader, a downloadable program that makes the NYT extremely easy to read online...but not as a newspaper replica. I would love to see the NYT on PressDisplay. The PressDisplay format is far superior to that of newsstand--especially for those who like to read on tablets or monitors that can be vertically oriented to mimic the shape of a newspaper page.
