Hi Sal. Thanks for taking the time to write. The iPad PressReader app will definitely be ready by April 3rd. It will be available through the App Store just like the iPhone app only it'll be optimized for the larger iPad screen.

Cheers,
-Michael

Hello Lucy
You can register for a free account and read two article every day from every title. In fact, you can do a search on all titles and see snippets of the results. Then choose what you want to read/view by article and then pay as you go. Note, this is for personal use only. If you are looking to monitor the news for your business, you would need a corporate account to do that.

Hi Andy. Downloading papers automatically would be an amazing feature for the iPhone and iPod Touch Apps. Hopefully we'll get there in the not so distant future!

In the mean time though, you can adjust the auto-lock feature on your Touch. If you go into settings > general > auto-lock, you have several options to prevent it from locking so quickly. You can even adjust it so it never locks guaranteeing your papers will download in their entirety every single time.

Hope that helps!

Cheers

And I was noticing a difference between the kindke app and the press reader app. With kindle when I am downloading a book, the device never times out. But with press reader if I am downloading a paper to the iTouch, after 30 seconds or 45 seconds the device turns the screen to the charging screen and the downloading stops. At first i thought, OK this is sometime limit from the itouch that if you do not touch the screen for sometime it turns off and unfortunately press reader stops downloading in the background.

However with kindle the screen stays in the app whether you touch it or not until it finishes downloading the content.

So it seems like this is some parameter that CAN be controlled by the app. And it is very important. Because I would like the papers to download over night. I wish I could set an alarm or something so that that itouch wakes up at 3 am, press reader starts, and starts to download the newspapers.

Sometimes I a late to work trying to download a newspaper from wifi at 7 am when your servers a re very busy. I would rather do it at 3 or 4 in the morning automatically.

In a future update to the iphone software it would be nice if it could switch to landscape view.
